The TOP Ideal Homes Show already had a significant and successful Sustainable Energy Centre of Inspiration. In 2008 the content and scope of this centre was increased by incorporating ECO Expo there by including solar and wind power exhibits, alternative fuel sources, such as Bio and Renewable Fuels, Heat Pumps, Heat Recovery Systems, High-U Value Insulation and the most sophisticated control systems as well as a wide range of sustainable lifestyle and eco friendly products.Over 89% of those attending who visited ECO Expo found it to be worthwhile or very worthwhile. |

THE ECO HOUSE
The perfect environmentally-efficient home starts here. Creating a safe, eco-friendly home can be a daunting task with so many options available and so many aspects to consider. The central feature of the Sustainable Energy Section is a state-of-the-art timberframe home. This full size, fully-fitted and landscaped house will demonstrate how the use of renewable resources and a high level of insulation can reduce but carbon footprint and heating costs to a fraction of that for conventional homes. The home will demonstrate how you can adapt your current house to make it a more sustainable and or what to look out for when buying a new home. |

The section will also provide an opportunity to compare the efficiency and carbon generation implications of conventional fuels such as Oil, Gas, LPG, Electricity and Solid Fuels. Suppliers are invited to show how conventional fuels can be used more efficiently. |
